Ancient house in Cortina d’Ampezzo

Project

Ancient house

Location

Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL) – Italy

Type

Restoration & Interior design

The old house in Cortina d’Ampezzo, once home to Mario Rimoldi, the mayor of Cortina who organised the Winter Olympics in 1956, has undergone restoration and conservation work and been fully furnished. The project provides for all existing valuable elements to be safeguarded and new local styles to be included. In keeping with Ampezzo traditions, the woods used in the building are strictly pine and fir lightly brushed and tinted with honey-like colours with a rather light tone.
